Administrators Week

The staff and residents of Knott County Health and Rehab were not going to miss a chance to witness history. Equipped with their special protective eyewear, they rushed outside to get the best spot to witness the solar eclipse, which has been dubbed “The Great American Eclipse,” the first time since 1918 that the eclipse cast its shadow from coast to coast.

As they gathered in the courtyard, everyone in safety glasses gazed up to see the moon pass between the sun and Earth, blocking the view of the sun and admiring the eclipse in all its glory. It’s a sight that they will not have the chance to see until April of 2024.

To celebrate, the residents and staff enjoyed solar-themed snacks for the rest of the afternoon.
