It was Polar Express Day at Knott County Health and Rehabilitation Center. Nothing better than coming to work in pajamas. It was also a great time taking pictures in front of the Polar Express photo-booth. Staff and residents enjoyed relaxing and drinking a good warm cup of hot chocolate and eating a sweet treat.
Oh what fun residents and staff at Knott County Health and Rehabilitation Center had with the little children of Beaver Head Start. The kids sang some Christmas songs throughout the facility for all of the residents.
Mr. Terry Turner gave the residents at Knott County Health and Rehabilitation Center a great tribute to Elvis singing many Christmas songs. He has been coming for years to entertain everyone. The residents always look forward to him coming and giving them a show.
Wow what a busy day staff at Knott County Health and Rehabilitation Center had. They participated in several community events: Roadblock for Peyton Slone, a high school student who is having major surgery for cancer soon; the Patriot Winter Classic Speech Tournament; and Knott County’s Annual Kenny’s Kids. Thanks JBS for once again inviting residents and staff to watch the Christmas play presented by the students at Alice Loyd College. They really loved the show and were very impressed with the talented kids. Can’t wait for the next production.
Knott County Health & Rehabilitation Center enjoyed participating in Knott County’s Annual Christmas Parade. Thanks to all who helped and participated in any way. Especially thank you to Brandia and David Clark for pulling the float. Thanks Kevin Patrick, Sheila Calhoun, and Hollie Thacker for putting together the beautiful float.
Thanks to the Beta Club from Hindman Elementary for visiting the residents at Knott County Health and Rehabilitation Center. Also, thank you for handcrafting the special candy canes for each of the residents. They sang Christmas Carols throughout the halls so everyone could listen and enjoy.
Knott County Health and Rehabilitation Center has so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. What a great dinner that was celebrated with the residents and their loved ones. Thanks to the Dietary Department for the delicious meal they prepared. Everyone at the facility wishes all a Happy Thanksgiving.
